HEXAVALENT CHROMATE conversion surface treatment of zamak alloys

- Improves paint adhesion
- Excellent resistance to salt fog for up to 500 hours
- Contains chromium VI
- Iridescent shiny appearance
- It does not change the part's original roughness

Properties and characteristics
Passivation of zamak is used to protect the alloys from corrosion generated by atmospheric elements; it is highly resistant to salt fog (it reaches 500 hours without being attacked), it does not change the roughness of the part, it is shiny and iridescent, variable depending on the alloy used.
Slight differences in the appearance of the product do not compromise its efficiency and operating performance.
Each alloy reacts with the passivation bath to generate a coating characteristic of the alloy.
It is important to keep this in mind if one contemplates assembling various alloys for parts to be left unpainted for aesthetic purposes.

The deposit contains chromium VI (hexavalent).

Applications
Mechanical, electromechanical, aviation, space, agricultural, nautical, etc.

Operating conditions
It can be used as a final treatment or as a priming coat for paints.
